Louis O’Moore
Director of Operations

“I started my career in 2001 working in residential and community services with a voluntary provider before moving to a private provider in 2007. I joined Daffodil Care in 2012, opening their fourth mainstream service in Artane in Dublin, their first outside of the Wexford region. This service was a great experience to be part of the setup from the start ( literally a building site) and after a little over a year we made the decision to develop the centre into a Semi-independent centre for 16 to 19 year olds to meet the needs of an existing client group and an identified gap in service provision preparing young people for leaving care. This experience was typical of my time with Daffodil Care where they have been very open to ideas and provided the platform, opportunity and support to develop bespoke, unique services tailored to gaps in national service provision. As the organisation continued to grow and develop nationwide the need for additional senior management support and oversight increased as well as capacity for line management of additional departments, projects and functions. I was successfully appointed to the role of Assistant Director of Service in 2015 and then Director of Operations in 2019.
